How to Apply to be an Education Major
To officially apply to the Education program, state law requires that students meet the following benchmarks:
- Complete a minimum of 48 college credits, including 6 credits of Math, 3 credits of English composition, and 3 credits of English Literature
- Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Pass the basic skills tests in Reading, Writing, and Math (Options include the Pearson PAPA, ETS Core, Math 205/206 with a grade 'B' or above, English 102 with a grade 'B' or above, or minimum SAT/ACT scores)
Once you have met these criteria, contact your advisor. They will submit your information to the Director of Undergraduate Education, Dr. Megan Scranton. Once your information has been submitted, the Certification & Compliance Specialist, Hannah Gray will process your application.
