Welcome NU Knights & Families!

The Office of Student Engagement & Orientation, part of the Division of Student Affairs, welcomes, supports, and guides you as you begin your journey as a Neumann Knight. Rooted in our RISES values—Reverence, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship—our New Student Orientation and Welcome Week programs are designed to help you transition smoothly into college life. We provide the tools, resources, and connections you need to thrive both academically and personally. From navigating campus and understanding University resources to connecting with peers, faculty, and staff, we are committed to helping you feel prepared, supported, and inspired as you embrace your Neumann experience.

Student Engagement & Orientation Resources

New Student Orientation & Welcome Week Programs

Orientation is your opportunity to connect with fellow Knights and their families, explore campus resources, and begin building your Neumann community. Our Welcome Programs, held during the first week of each semester, are designed to help you settle in, get involved, and feel supported as you start your Neumann journey. From engaging events to valuable connections, these programs will ensure you feel prepared, confident, and excited for the experiences ahead.

Summer Orientation

New students admitted for the Fall 2025 semester can register for Part 1 Orientation days, held in May and June, starting in the spring. Additionally, all new students are required to attend Part 2 Orientation from August 20-24, 2025.

January Orientation

All new and transfer students starting at Neumann University in January are required to attend January Orientation to prepare for their first semester as a Knight. This program will take place on Friday, January 17th, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Welcome Programs

Knights kick off each semester with a weeklong series of programs and activities designed to help them get involved, explore campus resources, and build meaningful connections with fellow Knights. Schedules for the Welcome Programs are posted online about a week before the semester starts and throughout campus.
