Meet the Student Affairs Leadership Team

The Student Affairs Leadership Team is a dedicated group of experienced professional staff members responsible for fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment. Through strategic planning and collaborative initiatives, they aim to ensure that every student matters and belongs by providing resources, support services, and a sense of community that contributes to each student's overall well-being and success at Neumann University. This team oversees several the units within Student Affairs, including Community Standards & Student Support, Commuter Life, Counseling Center, Residence Life, Parent & Family Engagement, Student Engagement & Orientation, and Student Health Services. These leaders support student development, create a sense of belonging, and promote student retention. Whether it’s helping students find their place on campus, providing counseling services, or enforcing community standards, the Student Affairs team is committed to enhancing the holistic education experience for all students at Neumann University.

Dr. Sarah Williamson
Dean of Students & Title IX Co-Coordinator

Dr. Sarah Wesolowski Williamson serves as the Senior Student Affairs officer, providing strategic vision for the Division of Student Affairs at Neumann University.  She has more than 15 years of experience in student affairs, with expertise in residence life, health promotion, student conduct, and supporting students of concern. In addition to her role in student affairs, Dr. Williamson serves as one of the Title IX Co-Coordinators and the Non-Discrimination Team Administrator. She is committed to fostering a sense of belonging and integrating Franciscan values into the co-curricular experience.

Mrs. Michelle Coleman, M.Ed.
Interim Assistant Dean of Students: Community Standards & Student Support

Mrs. Michelle Coleman serves as the Assistant Dean of Student for Community Standards and Student Support at Neumann University. In her role, Michelle provides oversight for the student conduct process, co-leads the University's CARE team, supervises the Prevention Education team, and coordinates professional development and training for the Division of Student Affairs. Michelle has more than 20 years of professional experience in residence life, community development, community standards/student conduct, accessibility support services, and Title IX.

Assistant Dean of Students: Counseling, Health, & Well-Being

Ms. Bonnie Yake serves as the Assistant Dean of Students for Counseling, Health, and Well-Being. Bonnie provides strategic vision and oversight for the Counseling Center and Student Health Services units at Neumann University. She has more than 10 years of experience in health promotion, career development, and clinical mental health counseling. She is committed to assisting students in identifying supports and developing skills to help them thrive at Neumann and beyond.

Director, Residence Life

Mr. Chadwick  'Chad' Johnson serves as the Director of Residence at Neumann University providing strategic vision for on-campus housing and residential education. Chad has more than 6 years of experience in student support, student conduct, and residential management in a university setting. Chad is a double alumni, completing both an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master's degree in business and organizational leadership, at Neumann University.

Dr. Ann Mitchell
Director, Student Engagement & Orientation

Dr. Ann Mitchell serves as the Director of Student Engagement & Orientation at Neumann University. She provides strategic leadership and supervision of student activities, late-night and week programming, community traditions, DEIB program, and coordinates the undergraduate new student orientation program. Ann has more than 6 years of professional experience in new student and civic engagement programming in addition to 11 years as an allied health faculty member.
