Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) is an International Honor Society of Education focused on leadership, scholarship, and service. The organization was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. Membership in KDP is a lifelong connection to an international network of exceptional educators working in various levels of education, all with a common aspiration. Our mission is to advance quality education by inspiring teachers to prepare all learners for future challenges.
Kappa Delta Pi is one of the largest and most prestigious educational honor societies, with more than 40,000 members and 600 chapters around the world. To date, more than 1,200,000 educators worldwide have been inducted. Albert Einstein, George Washington Carver, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Margaret Mead are just a few of the historically known members.
