Join us for the annual Blessing of the Animals event as we celebrate the love and legacy of St. Francis of Assisi. The event will take place on Sunday, September 29, at 5:00 pm in the St. John Neumann Circle at Neumann University, with Mass in the Sacred Heart Chapel, following at 5:30 pm. This tradition is a highlight for pet owners in Delaware County and offers an opportunity to honor St. Francis, the patron saint of animals and the environment.
At the event, pets of all kinds will receive a special blessing in recognition of St. Francis's deep love for all of God's creatures. This blessing also marks the beginning of Franciscan Mission Week, a week-long celebration dedicated to exploring and appreciating the values and teachings of St. Francis.
We encourage you to bring your beloved pets to receive a blessing and be part of this heartwarming celebration.
Please note that in case of rain, the event will be rescheduled.
