Financial Aid
The Pathway to a Neumann University Education
At Neumann University, we pride ourselves not only in making an outstanding education in the Franciscan Tradition attainable, but also in making it affordable. We are committed to ensuring every accepted student has this opportunity.
The value of a Neumann education is clear, and our office has the tools and resources to show you just how affordable it can be.
Apply for Financial Aid
The most important basic step for all students who wish to apply for financial aid is to submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online. Federal Student Aid is the largest provider of financial aid for college students in the United States. The FAFSA Simplification Act has brought about some major changes to the FAFSA. Some changes may introduce uncertainty into your financial aid process. Do not worry! Neumann University will be with you every step of the way.
Neumann’s school code is 0039880 and must be added to your FAFSA for us to receive it and create a Financial Aid Offer specifically for you.
Navigating the FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the primary source for determining your eligibility for federal financial aid. The FAFSA must be completed each academic year if you are interested in receiving Federal Student Aid. The 2025–26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form will be available to the public on or before Dec. 1, 2024.
Your Student Aid Index (SAI)
The information you report on your FAFSA is used to calculate a Student Aid Index (SAI) according to a formula set by Congress. The Student Aid Index (SAI) is a calculation of the amount of federal need-based financial aid a student is eligible to receive. Once you complete your FAFSA, Neumann will receive your SAI and identify your eligibility for additional grants or scholarships.
