ETHELIND BAYLOR ‘14

Ethelind Baylor is a Health Education and Training Specialist II, who creates and promotes educational programs for contracted agencies and community organizations for the City of Philadelphia Department of Public Health, AIDS Activities Coordinating Office. Ethelind’s public service career spans over 19 years and several departments such as The Philadelphia Department of Prisons Corrections / Adult Education, Legislative and Political Director of AFSCME DC 47, and Penn State World Campus adjunct professor of Organizational Leadership. She has achieved success in her career being elected as the youngest, African American Vice President of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) District Council 47 in the City of Philadelphia representing over 6500 members of the public and non-profit sector from 2016-2019.

Throughout her career, Ethelind is recognized for her leadership, inspiring vision, strong advocacy for education, training, diversity, and the creation of leadership pipelines. She takes her talents across many boards and community groups as she serves on the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey Board of Directors, Philly National Organization of Women, and Jobs with Justice, just to name a few.

WELYNE JARBAH ‘17

Welyne Jargbah graduated class of 2017 from Neumann University with a degree in Accounting and Computer Information Systems with a minor in Business Admin. While at Neumann University Welyne served as two terms as the President of the African Student Association, Vice President of Enactus, Orientation Coordinator as well being an active member of Campus Ministry.

Currently Welyne is an Associate Manager at JP Morgan where she manages a team that provides finance and operational support within the Corporate and Investment Bank for the US and Latin markets. Welyne also actively participates in many forums and campus initiatives that promotes diversity and inclusion in the work place.

ALLOYIUS MCILWAINE ‘04

This self-taught American artist was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has been passionate about the arts since his childhood. Thus, Alloyius McIlwaine has been painting and drawing on a daily basis since he was three years old, following his own desires and working without any preconceived ideas. As he puts it so well, "the idea of appealing to an emotional response, through the use of colour, shapes, textures and composition, has always fascinated [him]". As a child, he quickly developed a taste for these elements through working with comics, devoting himself diligently and faithfully to reproducing the drawings down to the very last detail. A few years later, fueled by his own personal discoveries, the young artist set out to experiment with different media and styles in order to finally develop his own pictorial writing. His artistic language lies between figuration and abstraction, incorporating elements from both urban and pop art and it is resolutely free and contemporary. Whether he is working on canvas or on walls, Alloyius spontaneously and naturally takes pleasure in coating surfaces with large coloured planes to give rise to pictorial, and extremely dynamic, creations. He is also a muralist and has painted these murals across the globe - from Japan to France, Costa Rica to Morocco - and has also covered a large number of public and private facades all around his native country with his unique signature. This artist is as enthusiastic as he is passionate and likes to disseminate his works in order to cover cities with bright and joyful splashes of colour.

G. STEPHEN WILLIAMS ‘09

G. Stephen Williams currently serves as a Professional Staff Member on the United States House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security. In this role, Williams is responsible for oversight of the Department of Homeland Security's components pertaining to transportation and maritime security and developing policies that improve America's national security infrastructure. Williams is also the co-founder of Nexters P.A.C., a political action committee aimed at leveling the political playing field and increasing the representation of minority elected officials at all levels of government. He is also the co-founder and past President of the Neumann University Black Alumni Chapter. For his professional work and community outreach efforts, he's been recognized by the Delaware Business Times as a 40 under 40 honoree - a select group of the region's best and brightest young professional’s, all under the age of 40, who are making a difference with their intelligence, initiative, and innovation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Neumann University (C/o 2009) and a Master of Business Administration from the Villanova University School of Business. Williams has also completed the University of Pennsylvania's College of Liberal and Professional Studies Diverse force on Board's program. He is a native of New Castle, Delaware and currently reside in Washington, D.C.
