Information for Parents and Families

Most students enter college with a very limited knowledge of the vast array of career resources that are available to them. The college years are a time of exploration, experimentation, and learning on many levels for students and their parents! Our staff is here to provide guidance and support to students in finding a career path and providing the tools they need to succeed.

Encourage your student to do the following:

• Make an appointment with our office during freshman year to meet our staff and become familiar with our resources.
• Check out Student Resources on the Career and Professional Development website.
• Take My Next Move, a brief online career interest assessment.
• Take a more in-depth assessment to determine possible majors and careers of interest by scheduling an appointment.
