Summary of This Program
BA in Criminal Justice
The major in criminal justice at Neumann University is grounded in Franciscan values that reflect the innate goodness of humanity and the possibilities for redemption and rehabilitation for the betterment of the total community.
Along with Neumann’s strong principles, you will benefit from our faculty members’ real-world experience. As a criminal justice major, you’ll learn from active-duty police officers, attorneys and other professionals who will teach you how the criminal justice system really works — and may also one day be your colleagues and employers.
Led by a former FBI agent, Neumann’s BA in criminal justice program gives students the preparation they need to be competitive in today’s job market. In addition to the theory of criminal studies, you’ll learn the tools of the trade with programs like Analyst Notebook, which is the same software used by all 50 state police forces and Scotland Yard to catch criminals.
A required internship will also provide the real-life training you need to be successful in your career. Criminal justice majors have completed internships with multiple police forces, the district attorney’s office and various attorneys’ offices, gaining invaluable experience for future careers.
