Neumann University has offered comprehensive graduate nursing degree programs for over 20 years. Now all our graduate nursing programs are offered in an online format making the opportunity to advance your nursing career easier than ever. 100% of our faculty are experienced nurse practitioners who bring real life experiences into the online classroom to enhance student learning.

Neumann university offers three nurse practitioner program options: the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care, the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care, and the Family/Individual Across the Lifespan. All program options also offer a Post-Master’s Certificate for students who already have an MSN degree.

As a graduate of any of our nursing programs, you’ll be prepared to offer evidence-based health promotion, disease prevention and healing treatment strategies in a variety of settings, while incorporating the RISES values learned at Neumann University. All nursing students will be eligible to sit for national certification in their chosen specialty upon completion of the program.

Neumann's post-master's certificate programs in nursing are perfect for students with an MS in nursing degree who want to improve their work-life balance and income potential by becoming a nurse practitioner. Current nurse practitioners are welcome to return to school to obtain another certification to meet their professional goals. Post-master's students will have a gap analysis completed to determine course progression.

MSN FNP: Family/Individual Across the Lifespan Nurse Practitioner track

The online Family-Individual Across the Lifespan Nurse Practitioner program prepares professional nurses to practice at an advanced level in ambulatory care. With 45 credits and 840 clinical practice hours, this program equips graduates with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes for competent and ethical professional practice while incorporating the RISES values learned at Neumann. Developed by nursing faculty, the curriculum enhances advanced nursing practice and promotes quality nursing education in the Franciscan tradition. Graduates will be prepared to provide individualized, cost-effective care to diverse populations in various settings. All graduates will be eligible to take a national certification exam as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

MSN Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care (AGACNP) track

The Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) program offers 45 credits and 784 clinical practice hours and prepares qualified nurses for advanced practice in acute care, critical care, and other healthcare settings. Our curriculum, developed by experienced nursing faculty, aligns with our mission to provide quality nursing education in the Franciscan tradition. Graduates will possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes for competent and ethical professional practice while incorporating the RISES values learned at Neumann. The program fosters lifelong learning, encourages advanced study in nursing, and emphasizes the fulfillment of professional and societal responsibilities. Our approach follows national standards, student learning outcomes, diagnostic reasoning, competencies, and evidence-based practice.

MSN Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care (AGPCNP) track

The Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care (AGPCNP) program offers 45 credits and 784 clinical practice hours and equips graduates to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered primary care for individuals of all adult ages, from adolescence (12 years and up) to older adults. Participants will learn to utilize evidence-based approaches in health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment for various populations, including adolescents, adults, older adults, and vulnerable individuals, including end-of-life care while incorporating the RISES values learned at Neumann. Clinical experiences occur in diverse healthcare settings, guided by experienced preceptors.
