Delta Pi at Neumann University, founded in 1986, is the local chapter of Delta Epsilon Sigma, the Catholic scholastic honor society, founded in 1940 for students, faculty, and alumni of Catholic universities and colleges.  Delta Pi recognizes academic accomplishments, fosters scholarly activities, and encourages a sense of intellectual community among its members with a special emphasis on service projects and activities.  Delta Pi is one of more than one hundred chapters of Delta Epsilon Sigma.  In accordance to the national by-laws, to be eligible for induction into the society, one must be a traditional student, and a junior or senior with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.7 or higher. Induction Ceremony

 

Officers of Delta Pi work collaboratively with the advisor and the secretary of Academic Affairs, to plan and perform the ritual of induction.  At the induction ceremony, new members receive the society’s pin and an honor cord to be worn at graduation. Induction of new members into the society occurs each November.
