Advent was the opportunity to awaken us to Christ’s arrival, to His coming in our lives – to the beautiful feast of Christmas. Let us be reminded by the readings of Advent and of today that Christ comes to us in majesty and in mystery every day in a kind word, a gentle smile, a hearty handshake, a chat with a friend; He comes in Holy Communion each day at Mass; He comes in a newborn’s cry or at the passing of a friend or relative; He comes every day to us . . . all we need to do is to be open to His presence. Never stop finding Jesus in the present and never stop celebrating His coming today, Christmas Day, and every day in our lives. May the joy and peace of Christmas be with you and all whom you love. Together, let us extend our prayers and good wishes to those in our world who, today – Christmas 2012 – find themselves without family, friends, or Jesus in their lives.

HAVE A JOY-FILLED, HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR!
