Palmer Trolli, a sophomore from Levittown, PA, played sports his entire life and has sustained a few injuries along the way. It was from those injuries that he developed an interest in his major – athletic training.
“By getting hurt playing sports enough times, I started to develop an interest in how to help people with sports injuries. I had heard that the (Neumann) athletic training program was really good, and I wanted a small school close to home,” he explained.
Palmer has loaded his plate up with numerous activities at Neumann. Through his major he is currently doing an internship at Strath Haven High School in Wallingford, PA, with an athletic trainer. He also plays on the NU lacrosse team and is a residential advisor.
According to Palmer, it is the professors in the athletic training program who take his instruction to another level.
“They’re wonderful and they help you with all kinds of advice – and not just advice in the classroom but long term athletic training advice. Some of them were trainers in colleges and they have come here to teach.”
