MJ Hong, a junior, sport management major from Havertown, Pennsylvania, has taken advantage of Neumann University’s study abroad program by attending St. Mary’s University College in Twickenham, England.
“I chose to study in England because of the English language, and I thought it would be easier for me to converse and communicate. But, I ended up learning how the same English language can be so different,” he explained.
MJ worked closely with Scott Keller, Neumann’s coordinator of international studies education, to plan his study abroad experience. The college credits that he received while studying in England were fully accepted by Neumann University.
While he was studying in England, MJ devoted some of his spare time to traveling around Europe. He visited the Louvre in Paris and Camp Nou Futbol Stadium in Barcelona, Spain. His said time abroad changed his perception of the world.
“Studying abroad in London was a life changing experience for me. I learned so much both academically and culturally.”
