The 2012-2013 academic year begins with New Student Orientation on Saturday, August 25, 2012. All housing assignments for the fall semester will be mailed the first week of August. First-Year and Transfer students are invited to move into their room on Friday, August 24, 2012, while Returning students will be allowed to move in on Sunday, August 26, 2012. Please refer to your room assignment mailing for a Move-In Schedule. The schedule permits all students in the same House to move in at the same time and arrange their room/space together. We ask that you respect the schedule in order to provide you with consistency of service during move in.
As we eagerly anticipate your arrival, the Residence Life staff continues to take steps that will enhance the quality of life on campus. In order to form a healthy on-campus community, we ask that students adhere to the following:
- Please leave cars at home for the first two weeks of the academic year if they are not needed.
- There will be no overnight visitation until September 3, 2012, to build community within the Living and Learning Center residence halls.
- All prescription drugs MUST be labeled with YOUR name, prescription ID, date, name of physician and pharmacy.
As a Catholic university in the Franciscan tradition, Neumann is committed to values that respect the unique dignity of each human person. The policies in the Student Handbook are rooted in these values. Therefore, any items or behaviors deemed by university officials to violate the dignity of another person or cause harm to you or another person is strictly prohibited. It is your responsibility to know the policies and adhere to them. Failure to comply with university policies can result in loss of residency.
