Neumann University is committed to making it financially possible for academically qualified students to pursue their studies at the University. Submit your admission application to the University and send in your transcripts.

Each academic year, various scholarships are available to incoming students who are admitted and enrolled at Neumann. Neumann awards merit-based and other types of scholarships to first year and transfer students who have succeeded in their academic pursuits throughout high school and college. These scholarships can cover more than half of your tuition and are awarded at the time when you are ADMITTED to Neumann!

Merit-based Academic scholarships


First Year Students

Merit awards for first year students (direct from High School without attending a college/university) are calculated based on GPA using a 4.0 scale.

Additional Scholarships and Grants

All students who complete an application for admission are considered for additional scholarships and grants. No separate application is required. Additional awards are reviewed annually and may vary based on the academic success of the applicant pool.

The below grants and awards are for those starting in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. Students who started in previous terms are not eligible for these awards.

This award, in the amount of $3,000 per year, is granted to first time first year students who are currently enrolled or graduated from a Catholic high school and are not transferring from a college or university. Students are considered for this award at the time of application to the university and will be notified after their admittance to Neumann University. No additional application is required for the award.

This award, in the amount of $1,500, is granted to students who indicate a desire to live on-campus at Neumann University. Students are considered for this award at the time of application to the University and will be notified after their admittance. The award is renewable each year provided the student remains in good academic standing and qualifies to remain in on-campus housing.

This award, in the amount of $2,000 per year, is granted to first time first year students who qualify to major in Nursing at Neumann University and are not transferring from a college or university. Students are considered for this award at the time of application to the University and will be notified after their admittance. The award is renewable each year provided the student remains in good academic standing within the Nursing program.

This award, in the amount of $1,000 per year, is granted to students who desire to follow in their family's footsteps and become Neumann Knights. Students are considered for this award at the time of application to the University when they indicate a parent, grandparent and/or sibling graduated from or currently enrolled in Neumann University, and will be notified after their admittance to Neumann University. No additional application is required for the award.

This award, in the amount of $3,000 per year ($1,500 each semester), is given to incoming full-time transfer students who are Phi Theta Kappa members. Students coming directly from high school are not eligible for this scholarship, even if college courses were taken while in high school. The PTK Scholarship may be awarded in addition to a student’s merit scholarship. Students are considered for this scholarship at the time of application to the University and will need to submit a copy of their PTK membership card/record with their application.

This award, in the amount of $2,500 per year, is granted to students who are the first in their family to earn a college degree. Students are considered for this award at the time of application to the University, and will be notified after their admittance to Neumann University. No additional application is required for the award.


The following scholarships have special deadlines and/or a separate required application. These scholarships are typically granted after you receive an admission decision.

Three scholarships in the amount of $4,000 per scholarship are available for first time first year students in any major in the School of Business who have a creative side! We are looking for students that have a passion for art, music or theater that want to turn their creativity and innovation into a career in the business world. Eligible students will have an application in any major in the School of Business.  Applicants are required to complete the FAFSA. This scholarship is in addition to merit awards and is renewable each year provided the student remains in good academic standing and fulfills the expectations of the scholarship.

This grant will focus on encouraging and developing strong leadership qualities in future NUKnights! Two grants valued at $2,000 per year, renewable for 4 years, will be offered to newly deposited students for Fall 2025.  Students must demonstrate current leadership characteristics and a desire to develop in-depth leadership skills through active involvement within the Neumann community. Complete the online scholarship application form by March 1 to be considered. A limited number of full tuition scholarships are awarded annually to high-achieving students from Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School. Students must demonstrate leadership, commitment to service and academic excellence. Applicants are required to complete the FAFSA. Complete the online scholarship application form by February 1 to be considered. Please contact David Alvarez, assistant director, at alvarezd@neumann.edu for more information. This scholarship replaces all other institutional awards.

Neumann University enjoys robust partnerships with many local community colleges. NU is working with Camden County College and Delaware County Community College to foster a stronger bachelors completion rate with their students. For students entering Fall 2025, NU will award one student from each community college a Full-Tuition Scholarship!  The online application will be available in January. Students must complete the Full-Tuition Scholarship Application form by April 1 and obtain their associates degree before entering NU in the fall. The community college staff will assist in the selection of the awardee from their school! About TAAC: The Transfer Admissions and Advising Committee is an organization of transfer coordinators and advisors at several of the Philadelphia region’s institutions of higher education. We look to find ways to work together in an effort to better support student and institutional transfer needs, and encourage transfer personnel to communicate with each other to help share experiences and successes.

Application

Tuition Exchange Program (TEP) and Council of Independent Colleges Tuition Exchange (CIC:TE) Participant Institution

Neumann University is a member institution of each program.  If a parent works for a college that participates in one of these programs, the student can apply for this benefit through the institution where their parent is employed!  Tuition is covered in full and this scholarship replaces all other institutional awards.  Parents should contact their institutional representative, usually in the offices of human resources, financial aid, or admission for employee eligibility rules.  If eligible to apply and to have your application for the scholarship through one or both of these programs reviewed, students should complete the following items during the fall of senior year in high school or the fall prior to the Fall term they plan to begin college.

  • Submit admission application and be admitted before December 18
  • Submit their FAFSA before December 18
  • Submit TEP and/or CIC applications by the end of January 

Neumann will begin reviewing and making decisions on this benefit in February.

You should enroll before August of your junior year in high school to earn rewards points when you (and your family) do business with select partners, including 529 plans, banks, credit unions, investment managers and others.
