Welcome from the Dean

Welcome to the School of Nursing and Health Sciences, offering undergraduate degrees in nursing and health sciences, and graduate degrees in athletic training, nursing and physical therapy. The commitment of our outstanding faculty, in a university dedicated to “education in the Franciscan Tradition” provides an ideal environment for study to prepare health care professionals. The Franciscan values of academic excellence, integrity, social responsibility, and respect for and service to others are the foundation of the helping professions.

If you are looking for a college where you will be known by name; where the dean, program directors, and faculty are accessible and approachable; and where additional tutoring and support is readily available to students, Neumann University is the ideal location for beginning or continuing your education in one of the available health care programs.

In addition, many of you will enjoy classes in the university’s new, state-of-the-art Health Sciences Center. Key components of the center are six physical therapy/athletic training labs, a technologically sophisticated nursing instruction auditorium that can accommodate 300 students, and a two-story atrium with large windows overlooking the campus and a warm fireplace creating a quiet, restful ambiance.

I hope that you consider Neumann University to study athletic training, health sciences, nursing, or physical therapy to begin your health care career or to expand your practice through graduate study. The information provided in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences pages and links provide a glimpse of what Neumann University has to offer, but we hope that you will contact the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid to arrange for a campus visit or to receive additional information.
