The Division of Continuing Adult and Professional Studies (CAPS) offers two of its most popular
degree programs for adults entirely online. Liberal studies, the
accelerated undergraduate degree program, and the master of science
in strategic leadership are available from the comfort of home.
Neumann has been educating working adults since 1974 and has offered online courses for nine years. Making entire degree programs available online was the natural next step in the University's educational evolution.
The most attractive feature of online study, of course, is convenience. Classes are taken on personal computers, with students completing assignments according to their own schedules. Carving out one or two nights per week to travel to campus classrooms is no longer necessary. A late day at work or a child's evening soccer match does not cause a scheduling crisis with online instruction. Pajamas and slippers are standard online attire.
Both the liberal studies and strategic leadership programs maintain the accelerated formats that have made them so popular. The undergraduate degree completion program is offered in six-credit courses, a feature which allows adults to earn a bachelor's degree in half the time that it might normally take. The M.S. in strategic leadership takes just 18 months to complete.
Neumann continues to offer both degree programs in the traditional face-to-face format and as a combination of classroom and online courses. For more information about online degree programs, call 610-361-5208.
