Five Year B.S./M.S. Program in Sport Business

Criteria for Admission

Incoming Freshman

  • Prospective undergraduate students must apply to Neumann University through the Admission’s office according to standard policies and procedures, and indicate their intent in joining the five year BS/MS program at the appropriate place on the application form.
  • Prospective students for the five year program must write a letter of application to the Sport Management Program Director stating their interest in the five year program, their career aspirations in the sport industry, and why/how they think they can be successful carrying the maximum credits each semester.

Enrolled Sport and Entertainment Management Students

  • Students already enrolled in Neumann University’s undergraduate sport and entertainment management program must write a letter of application for the Five Year Program to the Sport Management Program Director stating their interest in the five year program, their career aspirations in the sport industry, and why/how they think they can be successful carrying the maximum credits each semester.

Enrolled Business Students

  • Students already enrolled in a Neumann University’s undergraduate Business Division program must write a letter of application for the Five Year Program to the Sport Management Program Director stating their interest in the five year program, their career aspirations in the sport industry, and why/how they think they can be successful carrying the maximum credits each semester.
  • Students must submit two letters of recommendation from the business faculty (one should be from their academic adviser) to the Director of Sport Business.

Criteria for Progression through the Five Year Program

  • Students must remain “on track” with the undergraduate courses in the sport and entertainment management and/or business curriculum, and have a 3.00 GPA before taking any graduate courses in their junior or senior year.
  • After earning the undergraduate degree, students must adhere to graduate academic policies as stated in the graduate catalog.

Program Qualifications

  • Only students who enroll at Neumann University as freshman in academic year 2010-2011 or later are eligible to participate in this BS/MS program in Sport Business.
  • Students enrolled at Neumann University prior to Fall 2010 may join the program if they meet Admission’s criteria and have room in their schedule to complete the coursework as prescribed.
