Neumann University and the Senior Lift program will launch a computer basics program designed to address the issues of computer literacy among seniors. The program goal is to provide seniors education for and access to computer technologies to enhance their lives and enable them to share their knowledge and wisdom.
The two-hour classes are held bi-weekly for four weeks. At the end of the session, seniors will participate in a milestone celebration ceremony. Seniors enrolled in the program will learn what the computer is, its functions, and components; to set up, send, and access emails; basic typing and word processing; and basic desktop and overall operating system functions.
Class sessions begin on September 27 and October 25 and are designed to accommodate the individual learning styles of senior participants. Classes are limited.
