Neumann Announces New Dean of Business and Information Management

Elizabeth M. Doherty, of Bala Cynwyd, has been hired as the new dean of business and information management at Neumann University. As the dean, Doherty will be responsible for directing and implementing the program, curriculum, courses, and methods of instruction/evaluation, and collaborating with the faculty of the business and management division.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Elizabeth Doherty as Neumann University’s new dean of business and information management. Among the many things that impressed us about Dr. Doherty is her commitment to a values-based and deeply ethical version of business education which is deeply rooted in Neumann’s mission. Dr. Doherty’s dedication to our mission and core values is palpable,” said Dr. Gerard O’Sullivan, vice president for academic affairs at Neumann.

Doherty graduated cum laude from Lawrence University and received her master’s degree in social work and Ph.D. in organizational behavior from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. She formerly served as chair and associate professor of the department of management at St. Joseph’s University.

The business and information management department at Neumann offers majors in accounting, business administration, computer and information management, international business, marketing, and sport management.
