The Neumann University Concert Chorale will present its spring concert on Friday, May 7, at 8:00 p.m. in the Fred P. Meagher Theatre in the Thomas A. Bruder Jr.
The program will feature selections from Handel’s Messiah, an interpretation of the Christian views of the “anointed one” as Jesus the Christ. The libretto covers the prophecies concerning the Christ, the birth, miracles, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus, and finally the End Times with Christ’s final victory over death and sin.
This concert features guest conductor Karl Middleman of the Philadelphia Classical Symphony. Tickets are $8 for general admission; $5 for students and seniors; and free for Neumann students with ID and children under 12. Reservations are advised.
