Neumann to Host Jazz Band and
Classical Music Concerts

The Arts Guild at Neumann University will stage hot jazz and cool classical concerts in mid-April.

 

Musical Styles will feature the Neumann University Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble on Thursday, April 15 at 8 p.m. The Jazz Band will join forces with the Wind Ensemble to present a variety of musical styles and instrumental combinations. Faculty member Richard Sayers, Ph.D. will conduct.

 

Nightingale and Melody will feature Neumann faculty member Dr. Yukiko Ishida with pianist David Lofton, baritone Justin Johnson, and flutist Katherine Barbato on Friday, April 16 at 8 p.m. The program includes selections from Gabriel Urbain Fauré, Henri Duparc, and Clara Schumann.

 

Both events will be held in the Fred P. Meagher Theatre in the Thomas A. Bruder Jr. Life Center. Admission for each event is $8 for general admission; $5 for students and seniors; and free for Neumann students with ID and children under 12.
